I had the opportunity to create a multimedia scenography combining 2D graphics, 3D, and motion design for the LED screen for the stage production of “The Snow Queen,” based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, at Jas Sahna, an independent Kazakh drama theater.

The animated backgrounds became an integral part of the performance guiding the audience through a sequence of contrasting worlds: from the warm, intimate grandmother’s room to the deep forest and the mesmerizing, icy palace of the Snow Queen. Light and space functioned as independent allowed to enhance the fairy-tale atmosphere and its emotional depth.
